We just bought a Khyam Sun Canopy second hand, (the basic one for tunnel tents, not the fancy one one with the zip off door.)

There were no instructions, and although it looks fairly obvious, I don't want to do anything daft when I try it.

Does anyone have the pitching insructions for it that I could download?

Cheers!

We have an ontario 8 and the fancy one! The instructions for the Sun Canopy and Porch are the same basically. The only tricky part is the gusset(khyam term) needs to be passedover the main tent and the gusset edges should run over the pole sleeves and sit tightlyagainst the main tent fabric. I have the instructions if you wish i can scan and email them.

cheers

I have the same canopy and it is dead easy just put the poles together and feed them through the sleeve openings in the canopy. Get someone on the other side of the tent and throw the long peice over the top and get them to loosely peg out the guy ropes, then line up the front with the door opening and get it as close to the main tent as possible. Before pegging out make sure the peice across the top is over the ridges either side of door opening then peg out securely. If not rain will gather on the roof of canopy. It really is simple enough when you get it out. I was a complete novice and had never put one up before i did it and it took me about 15 minutes tops.

p2ent's instructions are spot on, especially about making sure the bit over the top is over the ridges.

The sun canopy is great, gives you a bit of extra privacy but also seems to extend your living space. That said, we are now considering upgrading to the sun porch, be handy to keep stuff in there at night away from the elements if necessary.

Incidentally, don't think ours had any instructions, and we managed okay.

Thank you both for your helpful replies.

If the rain holds off I'll try it later and let you know if I can't cope without written instructions!

Thanks once again

Jane
