Hi all,

Just been organising my camping stuff over the weekend ready for our weekend trip to Llangollen in two weeks. It's our first trip this year. I cant wait.

I am also off today with the oh to have our 12 week scan. I am so nervous. My wife has had two previous miscarriages so we are both a little bit anxious at the moment. We have seen the heartbeat once at 7 weeks, but now it kind of seems more real if you know what I mean. Anyway roll on January, because I hope the new arrival will like camping, cos if it doesnt then were in trouble!

Good luck with the scan today, let us know how it goes. Will you be getting pictures!

I find camping very relaxing so I should think its an ideal thing for both of you to do right now.

Cheers latecamper

Yes hopefully we will have pictures.
The only thing about our next camping trip is that my brother and his wife are coming, so my wife has decided that he can help me put the tent up, and im in charge of cooking and walking the dog all weekend! Talk about taking it easy. Never mind, I will get my revenge when the baby comes along.( Oh sorry darling, I cant possibly go and feed the baby as I have got work in the morning, therefore I need some sleep)

I suffered miscarriages too - my heart goes out to you.  All my fingers and toes are crossed for you both.  All I can say is I now have 2 gorgeous children aged 7 and 12 (who love camping) so hang in there.

Just come back from the scan! 13weeks old, and due 13th January 2009. As everyone says it, im the proudest dad at the moment. But what's made it worse is i've had to come back to work, and the wife has gone for a pub lunch with her sister. How fare is that?
Thank you all for your kind words in previous posts. Roll on January.

Good luck fogmeister   We're currently undergoing IVF and had booked a week camping in Newquay for the end of the month as it was meant to be the 2 week "waiting period" to find out if it had been successful. We learnt this lunchtime that, because of a complication last week which has set us back a week or so, that the holiday now falls slap bang in the middle of our treatment so we have had to cancel. I sooo wish I had taken out the cancellation insurance now

Hope everything goes well for you and your wife
