We had a similar problem with a very wet tent after the May BH. We also live in a flat, but do have access to a small garden, however it was simply too wet to put the tent up out there.

Our wet tent problem is also compounded by the fact that we own a Khyam, so it can't be 'draped' anywhere because of the integral poles - to dry it you literally have to erect it again. So in the end we had to erect it in the loft (which luckily we had partially boarded out), which was a complete 'faff' but worked beautifully.

We wouldn't want to have to do it on a regular basis, but at least we now know that if the worst comes to the worst we can.

Go & pitch it on a playing field (ones in villages are best) & dry it out, it should only take an hour. (you can be gone again b4 the nosy curtain twitchers call the bobby) (its best to do this while the kids are at school too)

Hi Merry

The tent was great and it was a very good tester  for the weather. The first night we stayed in the tent as when I had popped oustide the tent next to us was just collapsing and the girls that owned it had just gone out so I got my mallet and some pegs and tried to peg it down as best I could as I had no idea how long they would be gone, this helped but their tent was getting flatter by the ninute until it finally collapsed!

Like I said we stayed in as we were worried ours would do the same, luckily it stayed put even though the wind was knocking it around like crazy. It was fantastic to say the least as even when the rain was hammering down we were cosy and dry so in some ways I am glad that we had the weather as it was because it makes me feel  better about spending so much on a tent as before I have always gone cheaper.

If you are thinking about getting a Sunncamp then I would recommend!
