This might sound daft, but will plugging the coolbag in the cigarette lighter in the car not run the battery down?

We are going quite a way up into Scotland camping and I will be in BIG trouble if the car conks out!!

If the car is running you will be fine. We have left our large fridge plugged in for a few hours without the car running and it has been ok. dont forget to leave the vents clear so it does not overheat.

if the engine is not running and you leave on overnight then YES it will flatten your car battery, consider an electric hookup and an electric coolbox
