Two of us, canvas tent with canvas awning, two comfy chairs, table, two big duvets, two blow up mattresses, pump, clothes, single burner stove etc etc etc, in a Golf hatchback 4 weeks in France this year, 3 weeks last year.
Easy peasy.
Thankfully our children have grown up and go on holiday seperately.
we have a subaru impreza hatchback - me, hubby and toddler - car filled to the brim
although i now realise that taking 3 hold alls for 3 of us for 2 nights was a bit excessive and plan to pack much more sparingly from now on.
we're contemplating a roof box at the moment but the car has roof rails and we're thinking of swapping it in the not too distant which might mean new roof bars being needed so have put it off for now. x
Currently a mondeo plus roofbox for myself, the bread knife and the little monster (four in august)... The roof box, boot and back seat are always packed with not a spare inch spare... Just "downsized" to a C-MAX - collect in in ten days... should be fun packing next time we go camping... NOT!
Perfect car = C-MAX plus the trailer we'll be forced to buy next season
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
