If I am just going away for a weekend I dont need to re freeze my blocks as they stay frozen and I also pinched a great tip from Breeze  which is to freeze a couple of cartons of orange juice and it can be drank on a morning when it has defrosted of course but also keeps the rest of the food cool too. I actually found that it stayed too frozen though to drink on the first morning but it did help keep the rest of the food chilled so still a great idea
