Hi all,

I have just bought a new tent which has 2 poles to hold the door open. They stick in the ground and through 2 holes at the bottom of door. Do i need to use string as well and peg them out as it doesnt seem very sturdy. I bought the tent on the free ads on here a Kyham touring 400 so i have no instructions although they are normally no use anyway.

Any advice on this much appreciated.

Hi Richiehibs.

I bought a set of canopy poles for my tent door and they came with two guy ropes. You slide the guy ropes loop over the pointed end on the top of the poles after you have put them through the holes in the door and peg them out so they are secure. Hope this makes sense.

I found that when you need to close the door flap and leave the poles in situ,then I pegged out the poles using two guys on each, and used some para cord from the poles back to the tent to keep them stable. hope thats clear to understand?
