We have a Khyam Ultimate Classic Tent. It came with green padded rectangles wrapped around some of the joints of the central ridgidome poles. Does anyone know if they are meant to stay on, or do you take them off?

Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

i took them off when tent is up, and put them back on when striking camp, not sure what they are for and cant be of anymore help than that. Forgot to take the hat off the top this year and after the rain the padded hat had more water stored in it than a sponge.

I do the same as mamfa. only thing i can think they are for is to stop the tent flysheet getting caught in the joints(and possibly ripping) as you erect it. Once we have it semi erected we take them off.!

They are there to protect the canvas from the joints when packing away.
