Due to go to Keswick on BH Monday for 10 days. We were there the same 10 days last year and only had half a day of rain over the whole holiday. I'll be praying for sunny weather but I'll be happy with a fine first and last day while the tent goes up and down. I really couldn't care what the weather does inbetween.

Today is a fine example of changing weather. It's been raining pretty much all day here since dawn and then suddenly at around five ish the clouds cleared, the sun came out and it was lovely.

The only worry I have is how to cook if it rains? I have two stoves and a small bucket bbq. I've looked at some threads on here today and there really doesn't seem to be a perfect answer to solve the problem. I don't believe there is a porch to fit my tent so I bought two 2 metre poles with ropes and pegs so I can open and support one of the tent doors for cover, but anything more than a slight drizzle with no wind and I think we'll drown...

We won't be cancelling, but may swap the walking boots and bats & balls for a laptop, dvd player and paperbacks.

H,

We've just come back from Wales with some of the worst summer weather ever and it was only our second time but we never considered cancelling and we had a wonderful time. I'm currently surfing the net looking for a smaller tent when it's just me and the kids and all being well we're off again at the end of the week unless the met office suggests we don't leave our homes lol! We played many a happy game of monopoly huddled around a heater last week but we had fun. Remember too that the thread "nookie in a tent" suggests that rain is actually a good thing lol!!!!!!!! Not so good when the kids are with you though!

If you have a problem stressing you, sort it. If you can't, there's no point worrying about it coz it won't make a blind bit of difference!!!! Jules

We are off to the Tenby area for 11 nights on Thurs. Metcheck says weather won`t be bad, but I am going to pack the playing cards and a few new DVD`s just in case.

I have been phoning around the Park resorts today to see if there are pitches and what condition they are in and they are all booked up

I guess I will turn up, as you lot are making me think, that someone out there isn't going because it's windy/raining!!

If this comes out with a huge blank space under it, it's because my 1 year old pressed buttons......sorry.
