Hi all, new to this site and camping.

Found myself single again at 44 and decided I needed a new hobby. Now starting to put together a camping kit ready for next year. Anyone able to tell me how easy is it for a single female to take up camping ie attending meets/joining camping groups.

Would love to give my new hobby a try but a bit nervous about pitching up somewhere on my own.

you will find all the info you need here from some very knowledgeable people, when your ready to go camping just go to the meets section and click on your area, post your intention to go to a meet of your choice, it's as simple as that

You will probably feel a bit uncomfortable when you get there, we did, but there will be plenty of help, just join in with as much or as little as you want to, no pressure, by the time you go home you will feel like you have a brand new family

Hey Chris, I must have a hanckering as well, can't seem to let go of the idea of camping. I am definately going to give it a try but not till next year.
