The roof box? Lipscombe Volvo in Ashford.( most Lipscombe do them)
I work in Margate...........
Another thread said packing your sleepingbags in the vacum backs reduced the tog value........... but if it doesn`t I like the idea of using the airbed pump for the return journey. Might try it with the clothes instead
We are a big fan of compression bags. OH was very dubious that they would work but once i showed him how small we can get everything he was hooked (he tryed to compress the pots and pans ).
we got ours from argos pretty cheap.
we compress - sleeping bags, towels, pillows, picnic blankets. all compress to half the size.
Also we dont have EHU so thats a big space saver and also we run two cookers one of them single ring gas jobbys with replacable gas cans. But our big main one is a colemans duel ring petrol one. Ive had it a good few years now and its excellent. Saves lugging a gas bottle around! Yes it need fuel but fill before leaving and have a litre flask thing full too that fits inside the cooker for transport. That lasted us a week last time out, used every morning and five out of 8 nights.
i use the compression bags as well, excellent for sleeping bags and pillows.
and yes my pump, on deflate, fits the hole for getting the air out, for the way home.
