I have used earplugs for the last 4years and always buy mine off e-bay, 50 pairs for about a fiver and they are great. Just type in foam earplugs and it will take you there and just have a look round, the tapered foam ones are defo the best.
You have just reminded me I need to order some more as I am getting a little low myself, one pair lasts me about 4 days.

Superdrug, orange foam ones, they're tapered at one end so fit snugly right into the ear, aahhhhhhhhhhh bliss. I cannot sleep without my trusty plugs especially with 2 teenage girls.
I have a hubbie who could snore for Britain - I also use the orange foam earplugs from Superdrug - they're certainly the best ones I've tried (and I've tried a lot!).

Another vote fro the Superdrug orange tapered ones - my OH has a snore that could wake the dead sometimes, and these work fine and are re-useable. I replace them every few months as they dry and shrink and then start falling out.
I use noise cancelling headphones instead sometimes with and sometimes without the ipod attached! I have sennheiser ones that fit into your ear canal and they work better than any other ear plugs i have ever had!!
