I have just managed to get my Outwell Georgia XL, sleeping bags, seats, kitchen stuff (cooker etc), beds, pillows, kids backpacks, my clothes bag, blankets, in fact everything we will ever need in my Vauxhall Calibra!! I have a bit of a headache now (I bumped my head) and I'm sure the neighbours were having a laugh at me, but I'm so proud. How did I do it when my boot won't usually shut with a weeks shopping? I kept the boot closed, took out the parcel shelf and loaded everything up by chucking it over the back seat. lol
I've even left room for the dog, kids and OH. Do think it's time for a slightly bigger car now though.
lol! You should have seen me laying on the back seat pushing my feet against all the stuff I had managed to cram in!
Anybody know of a car with decent boot space that is very easy to park? I'm only 5ft tall so need the seat close to the pedals and I am very very bad at parallel parking.
My volvo S60 2.0T has a massive boot, easy to park, so many adjustments on seat and steering wheel height a midget like my mum and my lanky OH can all drive it
I didn`t here tem laughing in my part of Kent..........probably watching me prising all ours in the boot too.....its the extra blankets that caused the squeeze......
We only have an SX4 and a Swift so very limited boot space in fact once the tent is in the bigger of the boots there's practically no more room left lol. We've bought a handirack and holdall so we may be able to use one car next time it's 4 + tent! If not it's either an estate car or a tow bar!
Only going to Pevensey Bay, just an hour or so away. I don't think my son will cope with his legs on top of the sleeping bags for longer than that! Pins and needles all the way.
You may not have heard them from Faversham Jo, but I'm sure there will probably be a report of excess noise at about 10am this morning on meridian news! lol
Don't know if it will all go back in, is it a bad idea to make the kids wear all there clothes they packed home? It would take out two backpacks! Perhaps we should just hang the dogs lead out of the window and he can run home beside the car?

Hi dizzy
Well done But all you have to do now is remember how you did it for the return trip when we used to go without a trailer, our gear always seemed to grow and we have often left bulky things on site.Hope all goes well in your case
Good luck and have a nice camp
Rex.
