I now find myself in the situation wher I need to buy a new tent, seats, table and bed mats (Mine have been stolen from my shed sometime in the last month). anyone know where I can pick this stuff up at a resonable price? Tent needs to be at least a 4 man.

cheers

Welcome to the forums Kenny,Sorry about your bad luck ,I guess the first place to have a look is Ebay. You will find a lot of people wanted to sell their camping stuff after such a poor summer. Also a lot of retailers have sales on at the moment.

The ebay option for buying equipment is a good one, but be careful if you choose to buy a tent that way.  A good tent for 4 is the Vango Tamor which seems to be getting good reviews and this time of year is great for finding a deal before next year's models come out.

We bought our Khyam Tourer 400 from eBay and have just come back from a great weekend away with it.  We had a bit of condensation (normal) and one small leak but it'll soon be sealed again (on the roof where the velcro straps was sewn in). Apart from the tent being a little dirty (soon cleaned), as was obviously pitched without a foot print and it has no sewn in ground sheet, it was a great tent and will be having many more outings.

eBay is good for a bargain if you don't want the latest and greatest. There are many people selling tents who have had one trip and moving on to a caravan or generally selling to upgrade. There might be better bargains sping next year when more people think about planning trips and changing their tent.

I talk from experience as I bought mine last year for £32 albeit a couple of years old but in excellent condition.

Sorry to hear about the shed break in. Can you claim on house insurance then you could replace everything new and start again. You will need to report it to the police to get a crime number for the insurance company.
