Oldham, you sound like me. I also work on the premise that it is also my holiday, and although most of the things we do are child orientated, there will be the odd thing that I wan to do. I have the rule that if they whinge and spoil my thing, then they loose a treat that I have planned for them.
They now know that once on site the first thing to be done is to set up. If it can be done without them, they can go to the play area - if not they help. They also have jobs to do. It is part of the whole camping experience, and helps them feel involved.
