I've just bought a Wild Country Halo 43 and glad I have because I have been told by quite a few manufacturers that prices of tents are going to increase by 20% next year.  I got mine direct from the manufacturer and saved a small fortune.

Isn't it funny that it's always new posters who pop up and say prices will be higher next year!

I doubt it, commercial pressures aren't going to get any easier and as Romany says they'll be plenty of second hand kit around from those who bought this year and turn out to be one hit wonders!

Thanks Piglet, but good quality tents like a Wild Country do not often come up for sale as people who have bought them tend to hold on to them for ages, cheap tents are ten a penny and flood the market, that is why I got mine now and, hopefully saved myself a few pennies!

The question you must ask is "do I really want it and love it at the price and the value to you is worth it": if the answer is yes, get it. If not, it'll wait and something better will probably come along whatever better might be. Don't panic buy. Applies to everything including tents. Unless it really is a bargain...
