are you covered on the home insurance when pitched miles away from home if the tent gets damaged or is it just when stored at home?

I am no expert but when they say damage, theft etc i think most will cover your tent and equipment if say a spark set the tent on fire or if someone drives over the tent etc. I would get anything that says the insurance covers storm damage put down in black and white.

Re theft away from home, i doubt if they will cover equipment stolen from inside the tent if your not around and maybe they will only cover if the tent was taken down and stolen.

Again i am no expert but i have never had an insurance company pay out without first having to jump through hoops on my part.
