On the subject of insulation for the air beds I have heard bubble wrap laid on top of the bed but under your sleeping bag helps insulate you from the cold..Apparently the small bubbles retain heat from you body...Wouldnt work for me though..as I'd be up all night popping the bubblewrap...LoL!!

Much prefer a cotton tent. Although we do have synthetic ones the difference in warmth when the weather is cold and the coolness when the weather is hot (If you can remember those days) is quite noticable compaired to a synthetic tent.

I know I'm repeating myself here but self inflating mats are the best thing we've ever bought (so far) to sleep on, so much warmer than air beds.

We bought 2 Robens single mats as the single ones are thicker than the double.

All we do is unroll them and open the valve, go away and do something else (glass of wine for me!) come back and if you want to, add a couple of puffs by mouth. I don't bother though. Then I put a large fleece mattress cover over them just to keep them together. Chuck our very large and fleecy double Vango Orion sleeping bag on top (another brilliant buy, zips either side so you don't feel shut in) and that's it!!!

Wendy - as you can see there are lots of ways to improve warmth in a tent for your daughter. Insulation in the bedroom and living area works well. My niece is disabled and feels the cold very acutely, so when we go camping I line the bedroom floor with those plastic backed picnic rugs, and we sleep on Robens self inflating mats which offer superb insulation. SImilar rugs in the living area also make a difference too.

Some folks on here also recommend that the insulation stuff used under laminate floor makes an great and cheap layer in bedroom or living area.
