I also found this site as a result of a google search, can't recall now what I was looking, site or equipment, but have found it to be a wealth of useful info and great people willing to share experience/advise. Have recommended to lots of people on our travels since. Have sticker in the car back window but because we have tinited windows it's not very noticable

Hi Chelz and welcome
Hi Michael and welcome to you too - another Dutch member yeah!!.
Can't believe you have both lurked for sooooooooooooo long.
Please feel free to bore us as much as you like. We love reading all posts (well I do and I know one or two otehrs who do as well )
I can't believe I've lurked for so long! And I've usually got something to say! LOL. And I can't believe somebody else has lurked for longer than I have!
I'm a member of 3 other forums (not camping related) and I'm terrible at keeping up with them! I've got a lot of catching up to do... so don't worry, I'm gonna waffle on to my heart's content! It's great to hear about other people's camping stories, get advice and check out sites all in one place. When we've been camping we haven't really met any other campers that we got to know, hopefully that will change.
Maybe cluttered is not the right word (unless used to describe my brain), but the "Message Board" button at the top does have a rather small font and given the huge amount of activity on the forum, its existence deserves (IMHO) more highlighting throughout the website. I've only recently discovered it (after two years)! Also, I think, 'message board' is a not as frequently used description, compared to (for instance) forum. That too tripped me up in discovering this board. Which brings us to the true cause of my inability to discover the message board at an earlier stage: me!
As a source for information, campy banter, campingtips, campingtricks, etc, this website is unique and unsurpassed. So if my earlier comments suggested there was anything wrong with the website, I, unreservedly and humbly, apologize. I am a software tester by profession and, as such, sometimes can't stop myself (judging software usability is one of my job requirements).
With highest regards and the humblest of apologies,

Wanted some info on a TT I had been given by a friend...Came on here and posted a question...Within minutes I had several well informed and helpful answers from "Real People" Who had taken time and used their expertise to help me..and apart from a spell without access to a puter have been here ever since...

I was "referred" from another message board also (BBC food, I recall). I was trying to buy a tent and randomly posted on there as there were a few known campers! I actually bought my tent before I read any reviews - the wrong way round, I suspect...

Cheers Michael, good points! I will take a look , and see what we can do. Many thanks indeed for the feedback, much appreciated
Yes i googled 'campsites' and ukcs came up, the campsite search is excellent and i find the reviews invaluble. Now i don't bother with google and just check on here.
we were camping and the people next door had a sticker in their car-soon as we got home i googled it and havent been the same since. oh says he is a ukcampsite widower lol
