I posted another thread asking whether anyone knew where I could get hold of a footprint groundsheet for a Nebraska XL. I've had no replies, though, so I'm not holding out much hope...
So, can anyone suggest what I could use instead? Is there possibly a similarly-sized alternative? Or could I cut something to shape? And if so, what?
Hi, can`t help with the first question, but there are loads of places selling tarps you could use and I`ve hear people say that pondliner is a cheap and effective alternative which you can cut to size....I`l thinking of this option myself
Thanks, Jo, I may well have to go down that route as the footprints are 'thin on the ground'! (Sorry - must apologise for the pun, but couldn't resist it!)
Having purchased a footprint for my Orchy, they are well worth having, but I cannot see why a pondliner or the like wouldn`t work just as well if not better
I believe the pondliner suggestion was Rex`s so I cannot take his credit
Hi Shorticus
Check these out here They can be cut to any shape without fraying, they do not rip. read about them here
I use them as groundsheets,as footprints and now I have made a winter cover for my camper. you don't want guarantee's or the under-felt,so the it is lowest price
Good luck
Rex.
Thanks for that advice, Rex. I can see from having 'lurked' around here for a while that you really know your stuff, so your help is much appreciated.
On another thread the footprint and carpet for the Royal Pescara 8 were recommended as alternatives, so I'm going to have a look at those first, but I'll keep your suggestions in mind for future reference.
