Forget the buckets with lids and disinfectant...There's no substitute for a Porta Potti  with the sealed container..It's a lot more healthy. Porta Potti is the leader but there are other types a little bit cheaper.

I have a Loveable Loo but if I was buying a new one I'd get the Kamping Khazi I think, as it looks a bit more stable. The LL is just for me really*, as i have a medical condition. I clean it every day with parazone wipes and a good jet of water. One thing I like is that the straight sides are easy to clean, some of the cassette type ones I see people with look like (ahem) stuff might get caught in corners and pipes etc. I've been tempted by the cat litter idea but I suspect it might be more faff than just rinsing and wiping.

*though I can name a couple of peeps who use it without asking!

I have a Thetford Porta Potti and a Fiamma Bi Pot.

Personally I prefer the Fiamma as it has a large fill/empty bit which makes it far easier to use and clean out than the Thetford.

Got mine from a local camping/caravan store for £35 including blue and pink fluids and 4 loo rolls.

Use ours for everything and have never had a problem with leaks or smells!!
