Does anyone have advice on insurance for camping holidays? This year will be the first where all of our hols are camping including a week on the Isles of Scilly and 2 weeks in Cornwall. When going abroard we always had insurance so dont know if it would be worth getting for uk holidays as well. Also we are buying a new tent and bits this year. Any opinions/advice would be really helpful !

Insurance for camping equipment can be done through your home insurance. I added on extra insurance to cover the items away from home and it only cost me an extra £3.00ish per month. well worth doing.

Check with your home insurer as you may already be covered.

As for personal insurance, really you only need to be covered for cancellation charges in the event of illness etc. You do not need medical cover as you are still within UK and entitled to see GP as a temporary resident wherever you are.
