hi

just wondering what everyones fav or signature dish is when camping ?

mine is jacket spud with chilli,

jacket spuds wrapped in foil thrown into camp fire and big pot of chilli cooking over the same fire while i sit back and enjoy some wine, easy .

Well for years it was a lovely curry, with naan, poppadoms etc... but now we have found 'Boil in the Bag' Lamb shanks, so them with some new potatoes with mint sauce and a few other veg in same pan, eezy peezy!

And lovely!!

But you never know, this year it might be something different!

Trout fillet parcels cooked in buttered foil wth spring onions salt and lemon  juice black pepper,on bbq for starters with tortilla wraps and salad ,followed by Boneless Minty leg of lamb on bbq with garlic herb buttered new potatoes, boiled or bbqd  and salads

Do a lot of BBQs, so make up meat in marinades. But signature dish has to be my Full English Breakfast, which I do for a tight knot of 6-8 people.

Cumberland Sausage, thick-cut back bacon and black pudding from my local butcher, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, egg and fried bread, plus much strong ground coffee from the cafetiere.

CAUTION - this will only aid weight-loss as part of a calorie-controlled diet!
