~£30 in August in Dorset (ehu and super large pitch), I know it's expensive but it's what we want and where we want it.

The most I've ever paid was £15 a night which was a basic farm site but we were backpacking so location was more important than price. Generally my ceiling is £15 for big tent, 2 people and hook up. We are not into loads of facilities so we find this is more than enough.

What most people have to remember is that alot of sites will have a basic price then you add on for each extra adult/child.

If there are two of you the price seems good but if you have a few children then it can get expensive and it is this price you need to look at really.

We have seen some fairly cheap places. But then they ask and extra £5 per child per night. This can add £20 to the night for us.

Well for the 4 star site that I am going to in July, Southern France for a couple of weeks it works out at 37Euro inc EHU and local tax per night, and to be honest the site may be over specced for my needs, but compared to the £500 per week that I have paid in the past for a static, it is still a reletive bargain, I paid my 50% deposit before the pound tumbled, just waiting in hope for it to recover, which it is doing very, very slowly, before I pay the balance, I will for sure be checking out at least half a dozen possibles for 2010, which can be had for around 20Euro per night inc EHU, mostly 3 star in the same Ardeche region, having said that if the site that I am going to turns out to be just what I wan't, I will re-book for 2010 in anycase.

We are off later today . gorgeous site along a river with an indoor pool.

€36 for 2 nights including local taxes

In July we are going to Bosbad Hoeven with an amazing outdoor water park for around €25 a night :)

April we are going to Ijsselstrand for a total of €18 for the weekend !

Its free camping so all we had to pay for was pup tent, 3rd person and local taxes. Bargain :)
