We have just returned from our first family trip with 18m old and 3yr old to The Walled Garden in Kilkerran. Only two nights this time as still very cold, despite heater, however after following all the tips I had read on here about layering bedding etc we were absolutely toasty in bed! Boys even slept from 8pm to 7am, so was chuffed as was actually prepared for 2 nights of hell! Charlie was obsessed with the kampa khazi and so glad I bought one cos it made life so much easier.

The site was fab and will return, nice and quiet and safe. So a big thank you to everyone for all their good advice that we have taken and benefited from !! Can't wait for it to warm up and go again now!

Oh... a fantastic first trip. So glad you had a fab time

Hopefully people who are off on their first trip soon will read this and maybe feel a little less worried or nervous

It is not just your kids that sleep well in a tent.. I sleep better in a tent than anywhere else lol
