I'm heading down to London for the next 4 days. Wondered if any of you could give me some hints as to the best camping shops. I want to buy a new tent and have posted elsewhere on the relative merits of a few.
Looking to go somewhere they've got a number of tents on display and specifically Coleman if anybody knows a specialist.
Your help would be much appreciated. Not taking any hold luggage so my allowance on the way back up could consist of a new tent!
London is a big place so were are u going. Out east on the A127 between Basildon and Wickford there is a place inside a garden centre called Allweathers wich have a web site and the garden centre is called Summerhill I think.
Also in romford there is P J Camping also with web site and they are on Collier Row road in Colllier Row
There are no camping stores in the centre of london with a display of med to large tents. As suggested above you have Pjs with a large display in romford, one way out west called HCCC I think and i remember an indoor shop with a small/med sized display called army and navy, again out towards romford.
If you go to the London West end (Theatre land), there was a camping shop in the Covent Garden area, not shaw of its name, bit i kw they do not have a tent desplay, but they did have a lot of kit.

Might be Field and Trek in Maiden Lane. There's also a Mountain Warehouse nearby.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
