Hi everyone.

Been checking metacheck for the last week for this weekend for a trip to the Brecon Beacons. Finally tonight the weather looks good! How have you all found the accuarcy of this site? Think i'm just willing it to be nice for our first trip away in the new tent!

Given the nature of our climate, it is not easy to be precise. Though not 100% accurate, I've found Metcheck to largely reliable.

Weather forecasts are predictions, it is impossible for them to be 100% accurate.

I live in a mountainous area and no forecasts for my area are accurate as there is not a weather station in the vicinity.

Pretty good normally, particularly if you are only looking about 3 or 4 days ahead.

I always use it on my web enabled mobile phone to check the weather when camping. Given us an early "heads up" on a few occasions!

Thee was an occasion a couple of months ago when Metcheck was forcasting "light cloud" with no rain all day and I was looking at this and then out of my window at the heavy clouds and rain.

I don't quite understand...

we used metcheck last summer, and guess what it was wrong every day, if i relied on metcheck we would of been burnt not soaking wet, the bbc is the better one for us, i have learnt to go day by day and pack for all weathers.

Its not the weather that fails us but the wrong type of clothes.
