Hi can anyone tell me where i can buy spare bedroom inner tents to fit the Outwell Nevada XL model, mine has suffered some mildew problems and i would love to replace at least one of them. Thanks.
The nearest inners I could find on ebay were for the minnesota
these might fit with a bit of adjustment,if you are willing to do this .
I have bought inners from this seller, from a different tent for one of mine. sunvalley 08 inners for a sunvalley 07 model .
The size was basically right, but some of the hanging elastics weren't in the right positon, so I just tied a loop of tent pole elastic to extend it . , the strap buckle attachments were also different , but I got round this by adding a loop of tent pole elastic and hung them with that instead of the strap and buckle. worked a treat and less than half the cost of the correct outwell replacement.
Many thanks to all, i don't want to pay excessive amounts for a new one and im not to sure if the kids inner is still available for the Nevada XL model, Outwell have now discontinued the XL model(typical)I may consider trying to clean it just scared i may make matters worse!!
I have washed many inner tents over the years , with no ill effects whatsoever . the nevada xl inners are all polyester without the built in tarpaulin groundsheets , so theres no problem washing them . I have machine washed and also handwashed them in the bath. just make sure they are double rinsed if doing them by hand. you can't really make it any worse, it wont shrink if thats what you are worrying about .
The bleach will kill the damp spores and stop any further spread , even if it doesn't take the marks out, and also if there are damp spots , it will have a musty smell, so they need a wash anyway to freshen them up .
bung them in on a quickwash , and get them drying out on the line
Was just about to post again , on checking the diagrams more , it may not be such a good fit , The thing is the nevada xl, narrows in at the ends, whereas the minnesota doesn't,
the front entrance of the inner is 280cm , same as nevada , but the back end of the nevada bedroom narrows to 235, so it may be a bit saggy at the back ,so it could end up touching the flysheet , but you could get around this if you are handy with sewing and take it in at the back.
Thanks Debbie, yes off to wash it now, will feel happy knowing I've killed off the damp spores, being new to camping we have learn't quite a few valuable lessons this last year!!!! Many thanks.
