Thanks everyone for your well wishes and great advice.
1st (one night) camping trip accomplished!
Have all returned absolutely exhausted.
My 5 year old took to it like a duck to water! Quite literally really, what with the stream and the rain. My 2 year old is reserving judgement, she wasn't very comfortable at night. She seemed to be enjoying herself though.
So now we have more of an idea of what kit we do and don't need I'm sure I'll be badgering everyone much more over the coming weeks for more hints and tips.
