Once again I have resorted to pumping up blow up beds as a nightly routine as they tend to go soft. Can anyone suggest an alternative sleeping system that offers the same comfort as an airbed but without the slow loss of air. To be fair my current beds are either supermarket specials or a double Eurohike, are there more expensive airbeds out there that have proper valves and do not suffer this problem?
it is natural for airbeds to go down, in the day the air expands, so your meant to let a bit out, then as it gets cooler the air contracts (spelt wrong it think) which means you have to pump it back up. You can buy more expensive airbeds but they will still have this problem to some extent. John
For this very same reason, we have just bought a Coleman Double Comfort air bed. It says it has a special twin valve air lock system (or something like this) which practically guareentees it won't deflate. It was recommended by the good people on this site. We have not tested it yet, but I am hopeful!!
We have got aerobeds and they are brilliant. We have never had to add extra air to ours and we got them really cheap from Dunelm Mill and I thin they are stil selling them. We paid only £20 for our double and £15 for the singles.
------------- Loving our Khyam Ontario 8 with sun porch!

Another vote for the Coleman comfort
Once inflated you push the valve in to stop air coming back out and then put the plug in.
As it has 2 seperate chambers, you can inflate each side to personal preference
And as OH is heavier than me, when he gets in bed I dont hit the ceiling lol
you can get a areobed that has a remote control so you can blow them up easy and they come with a 3 year guarantee you pay a bit more for it but well worth it
