Well hopefully we're finally going to get the camping season under way - although not exactly as planned.

This is the Irish bank holiday weekend and the weather forecast is cracking - clear skies and temps up to 23 C on the east coast.

We were supposed to start the season the may weekend only for me to spoil it by having a brain haemorrhage the week before.  OH decided for some reason that taking off in a tent the day after my getting out of hospital wasn't the best idea.  He even tried to cancel this weekend and out hol. in France later this summer

Well we compromised - France is going ahead and instead of going up the Antrim coast this weekend we're camping in my parents garden .  Kids will ove it - there's loads of space for them to run around and OH is happier 'cause he feels we're close enough to home should there be a problem and I've managed to convince him to take Tuesday off work so we really do have a nice long break!!!

So I need to start packing, do the shopping, get a meal cooked for tonight (chicken curry in my thermal pot yummmmmm)  lets hope we don't kill each other trying to get the tent up

I recently had an MRI scan to try to find out why I'm constantly feeling dizzy and unsteady on my feet.  It didn't show the reason but it did show a cyst in my brain. "Oh, it's only 1.2 centimetres" says the consultant in a matter of fact way!  I guess he was trying to keep me calm but I wish I had Shellyfoz's attitude.

It hasn't stopped us going away and, once I'd had time to rationalise it, I realised it could have been there for years and that, if it hadn't been for the unrelated scan, I wouldn't have known about it so there's no point in worrying.

Shelleyfoz - have a great time at your parents', prove to your OH that you're fine then have an even better time in France!

Back again and had a fab. time.  The kids ran and scootered themselves into exhaustion and I proved to OH that I was well able to help with the tent
