As previously mentioned the horizon is in our garden so up early this morning to pack it all away ready for my first trip. Back in the house for a quick tea, and to write a quick email that goes like this.
Dear Mr Gelert
I am experiencing considerable difficulty in folding up the carpet in such a way as to be able to get it back in the storage bag. I know it would increase the purchase price by a massive 50 pence but please manufacture the bag just 2 inches bigger so we dont have to hire a steam roller to put it away.
Finished my cuppa and ready to do the tent now, oh no now thinking if the carpet didnt fit the bag what will the tent be like!

I feel another email coming on.
Dear Mr Camping shop person
Having recently purchased a lorry load of camping gear for yourselves, as recommended by your sales operative as the bear minimum required for a weekend camp (he omitted the utility tent though). I have had the displeasure of using the supplied combination mallet and peg removal tool. Having removed the guy rope which is reflective and bright green so as to help avoid injury, I attached the metal hook on the combination mallet and peg removal tool so designed to enable the safe removal of tent pegs, to the bright orange (for safety i suppose) peg. I gave a gentle tug on the peg unfortunately due to the poor quality of your manufacturing processes and the complete lack of quality control the hook became detached from the shaft of the mallet. Causing me personal injury as I fell backwards rolling a*** over t**.
still dont know yet if the tent will fit back in the bag,

I am sure you will have to write another one for the tent....lol, I can manage to get the tent and the inners back in my bad but not the poles, though to be honest I prefer it that way as this way it is not too heavy for me.
I cant get my carpet back in either, actually I don't think I managed to get anything back into its original bag.
I hope you have not done yourself too much damage falliing over and have had another cup of tea to recover.

It pays to write yourself instruction of how to fold the carpet and the tent! And photocopy it because each copy is bound to get wet or lost. Otherwise you never remember from one time to the next. It may seem anal but the benefits make it worthwhile.
We fathomed how to get our Outwell carpet back in the box, it took a careful combinations of folding in thirds rather than half, but now I have a little sheet that we refer to each time! We find the tent slightly easier in terms of folds, but we're thankful that the Outwell tent bag is nicely sturdy.
It's getting it all back in the car that we had problems with last time. It was raining so didn't have time to manouvre everything in the roofbox properly and hence had too much in the boot. Next time we'll have noted layout plans for the roofbox and the boot so that everything can slide back into place easily.
It's the 6 Ps. Prior Planning Prevents p*ss Poor Performance.
------------- Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.

Getting the carpet and tent back into their bags was a breeze compared to cramming all the stuff in the car. Have decided to go to a naturist site because there is not enough room for non essentials like clothes. And i am on a diet because i just broke the 12v plug on the coolbox, but there is no room for it anyway. I think a roof box will be next. or the dogs have to sit on my lap as i drive. Next trip the O/H will be coming that means more stuff.
Still cant wait to set off in the morning.
