I just can't wait to go camping again !!

I am watching the weather reports.... planning what to pack.... sorting out sleeping arrangements.... wondering what the dog will be sleeping on (or who with !).....

if I could go tomorrow ... I would...

do you think I've got the bug !!

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

Me too. I've only started last year & got the camping bug on my first camping even though it was very stormy camping openly at sea side in IOW for 2 nights-managed to go camping 5 times last year. This year I want to go camping everyday I even have a small tent in our garden in which me & OH sleeps at night17. So far done camping 2x this year & planning to go more depending on schedule. How sad I even have to do a countdown 'till next camping & check the 15 day weather forecast though this would not change my excitement but help on my decision on packing clothes & planning the bbq day.

Yes, its damned addictive!! But it is the hobby, pastime aspect of it that makes it better than a conventional holiday . You always have a sense of anticipation , working towards perfection , getting there , only to find that actually something else is now your idea of perfection.

I've caught it too, big time. OH is not as keen so I've taken to dirty tactics. I'll mention camping to the girls 7 and 3 (who absolutely loved camping) and between the three of us we will talk him to submission! He does not stand a chance......now where is that good weather?

All's fair in love and camping.

I don't even mind if the weathers not so nice . I draw the line at excessive windspeed forecasts , but our kids have good waterproofs and love being out in the rain . Its funny when its raining at home we tell them , get in its raining, but when we're camping , we don't bother, they enjoy getting wet and muddy just as much as playing in the sunshine.
