Hello

I have just bought a second hand  Cabanon Biscaya 500. The tent is in very good condition but I did not get any instructions with it.

I have read a few posts on here which say I should

Lay out ground sheet

Put the poles together and lay them on the ground sheet

Put the front pole in place and then lift the front of the tent up and peg the front ropes out

The next bit is were I have read two differn't things

Go in the tent and erect the poles starting from the back and work to the front

Or start from the front and work to the back

Which is the best way so that I do not damage the tent or the poles

My instructions for the 370 say once you have the front pole in place go into the tent start from the back, this has always worked fine for us.  we always make sure that we both lift the pole at the same time so that it doest twist.

the instructions may be different for the 500 though.........

Yep, we had a 500 and it recommended you do the porch frame first (so you can walk inside) then start at the back.

One tip; place the rear and middle frame hoops with the feet facing the back of the tent and the front one with the feet facing the front, so that you effectively push against the canvas, rather than trying to lift it (if you understand what I mean).

We now have the vis a vis, so it doesn't matter which side we start! 17
