I was at our local Gala day yesterday and one of the guys on the stalls for healthy living gave me a card for this website.
Its a route planner for walking. It also calculates calories used etc. For all us campers who like to get out and have a nice ramble, hike or just a stroll, this looks like a very handy tool. So I thought I would share it with you.

Dezzie does it let you do more rural walks ie village to village etc or is it just the drop down list in cities, I can't seem to get any result (am I missing something)?
Although it has the cities listed, as long as your postcode is within the list of cities (for example im G66) then it will give a route. I think its reasonably new at the moment and they will be adding more locations as it grows (I hope so anyway).

Looks good - I have some automagic route planners I use from DofE which are a bit technical, this seems great if you just want to know from a to b!
You could also look at Map My Hike which is pretty nifty, you can also embed your walks on your website, which is what I use on the website for my 200 mile sponsored walk this summer.
