Thank you guys for all your tips before we set out on our first trip.
We had SUCh a brilliant time - totally addicted now and we felt like real campers as we had a huge downpour and lots got soggy!
Best buys: Toast rack!, gas lantern, flock airbeds, lots of plastic boxes for all the stuff Anthony Worrel Thompson portable BBQ from Dyas (£19.99) and a 3-tier plastic veg rack for £4.99 from Argos - used it to store food/torches/anything - beat spending £35 plus for a 'proper camping' store!
Worst bits: Loud shouting from v drunken people on nearby beach until 2am
Best bits: Lovely clean facilities, nice people, tent went up quicker than we thought it would and chill out factor.
Next!
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves. Good gears and good campsite facilities definitely help to enhance the enjoyment.
We can't choose the weather or fellow campers, so it can be a hit and miss. However, it looks like you have caught the camping bug, so enjoy!
