could anybody recommend a really good smallish camping cooler/fridge. ideally one that isnt noisy , i dont want to keep the neighours up with that humming noise.
I swear by my Coleman/CampingGaz 28L thermoelectric cool boxes.
They do hum, however, barely audible outside the tent. It kept me awake the first night, got used to it on the second though.

Depending on how much you want to spend, Waeco Tropicool fridges are excellent -we have invested in one this year and I must admit it keeps things cooler than the fridge we have at home - we had to turn it down as it was freezing the salad!
I am using the WAECO CF25 which is a compressor type, and runs very quiet, very compact unit so does not take much room up in the car, over kill for UK use, but I got it for use in Southern France, where the temps can get to +40Deg C, you can can dial in the temp you want say +4Deg C and it will stay there whatever the ambient temp is, also for freezing it will go to -18DegC if needed. my intention is to hire a full size fridge when I get to site, most French sites rent out fridges, always handy to have the WAECO for days out etc.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
