We were planning on going away with another couple in their trailer tent that they've just got, but they're having a bit of trouble getting the tow-bar sorted.

We've said to them that we could all go in our tent so we can all have a break before we go in that. Our tent is a Pro Action 6 Person 2 Room (mmmm, Argos).

We'll be taking our Dog (Flatcoated Retriever) and their two Miniature English Bull Terriers.

Do you think we'll have enough room?

We also have a "Four person" dome tent that we could take for them to sleep in, and the dogs sleep in their crates in our tent.

Suggestions and advice greatly appreciated.

It all depends on weather you are prepared to pay for 2 pitches, If it was me i would take the big tent and then take the dome for them.  Remember you will need space for suitcases/holdalls, cooking equipment and food ect.... And 3 dog crates will take up quite alot of space. Enjoy your time away though.

Agree with dancingilly, it could be quite a squash with all of you in the 6 man tent. Also, how do the 3 dogs get on together? Are they likely to bark at each other during the night?

The song 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' (Tight Fit) sprung to mind when I read your post. I think it would be a bit 'friendly' in the one tent and would definitely take the two especially with three dogs.  Plus have you actually slept within such a close vicinity to the other couple before.  Do either of you or them snore etc etc. are all the dogs used to camping (together in a confined space?).  I think it just might be better all round.

Thanks everyone,

The dogs spend most of the day together, as my other half and her friend work together and they can take their dogs to work with them, so there would be no trouble there.

I think it's right what you're saying, it will be best if we take the two tents and let their dogs sleep in crates in our tent.

Our bedroom will be seperate to where the dogs are, so we won't wake up in the middle of the night to six little eyes staring at us lol
