I should imagine that the heat is too fierce to cook the inside ot the toastie. I have one of those toasters and it toastes really quickly, For toasties when we are away I use a Diablo - great piece of kit. Also use it at home when I can not be bothered dragging by electical toastie maker out.

We bought a cheap toasty maker from asda and just tke that, Only cost about £6.00, and i still like to have my luxurys even when nmot at home.

Toasted sandwich?
Only a full English will do for me, no beans or toms as I don't like them, but definitely mushrooms and onions, along with the usual sausage, black pudding, streaky bacon, fried egg and a fried slice
This will keep me going until the evening's BBQ
I keep a bit of everything except onions for Borda as he likes he breakfast too!
