The midge seems to be a bigger problem this year much more than usual. At the weekend I tried a spray developed in the west of Scotland(they should know about midges) I also,at the same time used the Jungle formula cream but was still bitten all over.There's loads of advice to combat the devils...vitamin b tablets..brewers yeast. The Avon beauty product Skin So Soft or summat(seems the formula has changed so may not work anymore). Some swear by catnip oil but it seems there are many veersions of it. The cheap stuff to keep your cat amused and the highly concentrated catnip oil which is very expensive but you only need a few drops in a carrier cream.
We went for a walk at Bude this weekend and along a lane there were thousands of buzzy blighters! There are loads about this year, Appparently its the vitamin B in the marmite the things dont like so might be worth taking vitamin B tablets or other food which contains it, i have just ordered a load of the gree SSS so i hope it does work!!!
