Wouldn't you think some bright spark would invent a silent zip for tents

How do you zip a zip quietly in the dark.... eh ?  Its impossible !!!

I've been looking at my camera which zonked out half way through our recent camping trip but I was thinking of putting some pics up... whats the best way to get pics on this forum, please ?

Why bother with quiet zips, just wazz it up hard as you like get an enamel bucket and shout out loud i'm about to pee in this bucket, then let rip

Not a chance of anyone looking out of their tent in case they upset the nutter

I keep my porta potti in the tent  because I cannot bear the thought of 3 zips each way just for a pee in the middle of the night!! LOL  Inner, tent door, toilet tent door and then back again.

At least with it in the tent its just the one zip!!

You can get silent zips. They work on the same principle as the re sealable food bags. I used to have something that used this system, but can't think what is was now. Also some vacuum bags have them.

I have found that if you unzip one click at a time, it's almost silent. The trouble is that by the time you have unziped enough to get out to the bucket or what ever, it's to late.
