We spent a very Windy week in Anglesey when I feared we might lose our Khyam Classic. And while we sat waiting for the next gust I pondered on tent insurance. Is there a specific insurance for tents or is it covered on your home contents policy? I studied ours but found now mention of camping equipment. It would be a considerable expence to replace all of our equipment built up over the years apart from spoiling the holiday. Does anyone know if there is such a policy.
You can get specialist tent insurance but give your home insurance company a ring before buying as you can often add camping equipment onto your household policy with an "away from home" use bit added on too.
Yes our camping stuff is covered under the personal possensions section (along with any other) stuff we take out of the house) - cheapest way IMO and better cover than the specific policies I looked at
