Hi!

We live near Swindon and wondered if anybody is aware of any decent camping shops nearby? Ideally somewhere that stocks Outwell equipment.

Also, how useful/worthwhile are footprints? We have an Outwell Hartford L, and are off to the New Forest next weekend. Thinking of getting one.

Thanks!

Matt

Don't know about Swindon, but there are branches of BCH camping in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Bath. the Trowbridge shop is probably the best with a tent display and a pretty large shop selling just about everything you need. They definitely stock Outwell.

BCH Trowbridge is the best as they are the only one with a tent display.

We live in Swindon and found poor / non existent camping supplies nearby. we ended up at GO Outdoors in Bristol.. made a day out of it.

We bought a footprint for our Idaho xl and found it really useful cos our pitch was tight compared to size of tent. Saved time in planning where tent would fit. Also provides extra groundsheet protection and will be great for packing away in wet weather.

Yeomans is doing a big exhibition in Reading currently. It's at Winnersh Garden centre. It's not exactly on the doorstep but 45mins down the M4 from Swindon so not too far.

Popped in this week and it was great - about 100 tents all up and a marquee with products. A lot of Outwell stuff - must have had almost all the current outwell tents on display and supporting accessories like windbreaks, carpets, footprints etc.

Had a good nosey around - good to get a feel for the tents. Bought an outwell chair and a cooker (one of those camping gaz cylinder jobs - but a great price at £9.99).

Details of yeomans Exhibition on their site
