OMG thunderstorms are my worst fear and a real concern of mine whenever we go camping. I am so scared of it I make OH park the car right next to the side entrance of the tent door, so IF it does T & L at night I can go straight from the tent into the car I am shuddering at the thought of it
we survived a cracking thunder and lightning storm in France a few years back. Was great lying in bed at 2am watching the night sky light up with the lightning and then hearing the patter of the rain on the canvas
I experienced a thunderstorm the first time I went camping, and it was great fun, as I was cosy tugged up in bed next to my late partner at the time
