Just wondered if anyone was camping in the torrential rain/ thunder/ lightening last night?

If so, are you and the tent here today?!

I was lying in bed very very thankful we dont go camping till next week. Think the kiddies wd have been mega freaked!

OMG thunderstorms are my worst fear and a real concern of mine whenever we go camping. I am so scared of it I make OH park the car right next to the side entrance of the tent door, so IF it does T & L at night I can go straight from the tent into the car   I am shuddering at the thought of it

We had almost 3 days straight of torrential rain and thunder last week

we survived a cracking thunder and lightning storm in France a few years back.  Was great lying in bed at 2am watching the night sky light up with the lightning and then hearing the patter of the rain on the canvas
