Typically we've booked a long weekend off work thinking we would get decent weather. It is July after all.

Anyway has anyone got a half decent weather forecast in their area for the weekend or am i being too optimistic?


Have tent will travel, more or less anywhere for a bit of sunshine.

According to Metcheck, we're going to have quite a pleasant, dry weekend but we may be a bit far away from you for a weekend break - I'm in North Yorkshire.

I think Mexico is a little a bit far to travel for the weekend, but North Yorkshire might be an option

We might end up going to Newcastle for the weekend and making use of mother in laws guest room.

We'll do something cos i'm not wasting a long weekend off by staying at home and doing nothing.

Just looked at BBCi and they say it's poor for the southeast. On their simulation map it goes completely blue for Thursday.

HI, my daughter is - sorry was - camping in valencia spain up until mon ( she was at a pop festival ) but after enduring 30 deg heat for 9 days iv had to book her into a hotel for the remaining 2 days before she flies home - seems when the sun is shining you cant please some people as she complained it was so hot she may as well not have put tent up plus the site resembled a refugee camp!!

OH and i are heading down Dumfries & Galloway way for the weekend with sis in law, her partner and their 2 kids.  Only booked yesterday after looking on Metcheck and seeing that it should be quite nice
