We are looking for somewhere to go on the south coast for next year but I am starting to get very confused.

We are a family of 3 with a 9 year old boy and would love to go somewhere that has a fab park, pool and near to a beach. 

We have never ever been down to the south coast as live in the North East and would love some advice on which are the best sites to go to.

I started making enquiries about a month ago, as I like to organise in advance.

I have booked time off for the entire 2010 now, and have planned to camp close to home for the short 3d weekends, and have ideas where I want to go for the 5d ones.

Since I shall go at non-school holiday times and arrive early on a Thu/Fri, it is usually not an issue with getting a pitch with short notice.

The only issue is likely to be a 4-night weekend in Aug, my first holiday in Aug since 1996, as I may tag along with a friend whose family go on holiday in Aug due to the kids. I have not booked anything, and am waiting to hear what they decide to do, which is unlikely to happen until after Dec or even later!

Have to book well ahead with holiday time from work so our main week camping in June next year is already booked.

Advantage is we have even been able to specify the exact pitch we want on our favourite site.
