Go and enjoy yourself, if you cancelled every time you thought you felt some thing coming on or the weather wasnt right you would never get away.

I cannot agree more with this. My OH is not that keen and has found excuse after excuse not to go. One trip so far this season is killing me. I am so looking forward to the New forest next week.

I also have a cold brewing and going on Friday ( as well as a broken car so that may stop us yet ! )...but I will still go.  My daughter has had since last week and it seems like only a mild one.  I shall go with lemsips and hot toddies and try and take it easy once the tent is up.  Positive thought definately helps though...often if I'm doing soemthing I really like I can almost will a cold away, by carrying on as normal and ignoring it....  If it turns into something worse, then heigh ho.. just have to come home....

Managed to go camping one time with a strep throat infection...it was starting as I left the house and I was convincing myself it was a cold...I stayed on my feet the next day until we got the tent up and then collapsed in my sleeping bag for 48 hours. First outing a trip to the GP in Mevagissey!

Having said that I am sure being in the cool air in the tent and the staggers to the loo(I wont say walks) were good for me. I healed up quite fast too!

Go and enjoy!

Thank you all for the advice!

I really don't feel too bad now.. and I've just checked the weather... it's going to be quite good in north Wales 17 Looks like we're leaving rain behind in the Midlands 17 So that must be better for my cold... yay!
