Some random thouhgts:

High Street in the Lakes - had a great pitch on top of the ridge some years back.

Anyone of numerous tarns in the lakes (though August in the lakes could be a pretty busy time.

Wales, a quieter spot in Snowdonia, up on the beacon beacons ridge, somewhere in the Rhinogs.

In the UK your best bet for real wildness and less chance of meeeting other people is scotland - endless places - some great beachside pitches on isolated beaches, Sandwood bay, owned by the John Muir Trust on the NW coast is a beautiful.

Best of all, get out the maps and look for likley spots.

Note, in Eng and Wales wild camoing without the land owners permission is illegal - it is trespass. However in reality, in open hill country it is generally an accepeted practice - though pitch well, well away from any habitation and from paths and popular areas.

In Scotland however, wild camping basically is legal.

Have a web search for wild camoing for advice if you ahve not done it before.

Hello and wecome. As others have said you seem to be referring to wild camping, so look for some websites with good advice about wild camping.

If you think you really can't do without a site with at least a tap and a loo, then look for the more basic sites (often a farmers field or at the back of a pub).

THIS site is a great collection of advice from a couple of very experienced wild campers.

and THESE are the sum of UKCS wisdom on the topic.

I think it is great that you want to sample the other end of the camping continuum and I hope you enjoy it!
