I bet everyone thought I was talking about my bed at home, well I'm not, I'm talking about my campbed Came home yesterday and had my first night back in our double bed - had a terrible night, couldn't get comfy, was waking every hour or so, then I thought I heard a noise downstairs...etc, etc. Oh how I'm missing my airbed/campbed combination, it's so cosy and comfy and all I can hear is 'outside' and I feel like this every time I get home, takes me a fair few nights before I get used to my own bed again!!

Same here I paid over £1000 for my bed at home and my double height kingsize bestway bed is much more comfortable! Darn I'll just have to go camping more!
I know what you mean. When I sleep at home I end up uncomfortably hot and with a tickly throat and cough. But in the tent I sleep like a log and wake up fresh as a fresh daisy! Spent a night last week camping in the back garden with the kids and had a great sleep even though I had to be up at 6 for work. Might move into the back garden permanently
It's too stuffy in the house after you're used to sleeping in a tent. I find one thing that helps a bit is to have a fan running in the bedroom, even if it's not warm. Gets that authentic camping draught going, yup?
My sister slept on one of our fat airics when we had a houseful of people, once some of the family have left there was a spare bed but she chose to stay on the Airic as it was more comfortable!

Had the window open AND a fan going!

I like my rubberised cotton airbed too - had wonderful sleeps on holiday with no backache...came home to latex topped new mattress and discomfort (OK, back to being at a PC for most of the day doesn't help). I did sleep on an airbed for a few months when I broke my leg and in plaster some years back and it was supremely comfy with a duvet under and over. Yes - solution is to camp more often .
