For the record, yes we started camping this year and NO I am not selling anything, already discussing what we want to buy for next year...lol and still have one more weekend in September booked.

------------- Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop
I well remember the first camping trip with the man who eventually became my husband. It was about 35 years ago at Black Rock Sands, Porthmadog.
Trying to impress me he told me that he had a 23 foot ridge tent, which he had, he also told me that he had most of the equipment, which he hadn`t,
I have two daughters from my first marriage who were about 14 & 15 who slept in a little tent, and we had the large one.
I had packed lots of foods stuff mainly tinned, into cardboard boxes, so we set off on a super hot day, all the way there I had a feeling that there was a storm brewing,
His sister and her husband were already there in their super posh frame tent, and helped us to erect ours, just by the dunes not far from the sea, then we went over to theirs for a few drinks and then a few more lol.
Around about midnight we bedded down, me with my baby dolls on (does anyone remember them)?
I dont know how long I had been sleeping but was awakened by what I thought was the sea slapping in my face, it turned out that there had been an almighty storm and the tent poles had collapsed and torn the canvas, which was dragging across my face, it turned out that most of the tents had been blown down, and folk were just running their cars over the tents to hold them down. Ours was ruined and we spent the rest of the week in sister and brother in laws tent.
That was the beginning of many a catastrophic camping holidays.
We have just this year started to camp again after about 15 or more years AND we are still married.
I really should write a book about some of our experiences.
------------- A day without a smile is like a day without sunshine!****
Not seen anything on E-Bay, but on Ad Trader, there are plenty of complete set ups for sale, many say used once/twice. I have seen Outwells, Vangos, a couple of Cabanons all with carpet footprints and various bits of equipment incuded. There are some real bargains to be had. I live in the south east, so these were local to me, but there must be similar adverts from all over the country. Take a look, I am sure someone here will get a great deal.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
